Beyond Words: Deepening Couples’ Connections Through Somatic Practices

In a world where communication often relies heavily on words, couples can sometimes find themselves stuck in patterns of misunderstanding or disconnection. This workshop offers a new pathway—one that uses the wisdom of the body to nurture intimacy, trust, and deeper connection. "Beyond Words" is a somatic workshop designed to help partners explore ways of relating that transcend language and invite presence, attunement, and embodied connection.

This interactive session will provide a safe and supportive space to:

  • Experience Nonverbal Connection: Discover how touch, breath, and embodied presence can communicate safety, care, and understanding in ways words cannot.

  • Regulate Together: Learn somatic practices that help co-regulate your nervous systems, easing stress, reducing conflict, and fostering calm within your relationship.

  • Build Emotional Safety: Explore tools for creating trust, resilience, and safety so you and your partner can navigate challenges with greater compassion.

  • Understand Nervous System Dynamics: Gain insight into how survival stress shows up in relationships and learn how somatic practices can shift patterns of reactivity into patterns of connection.

  • Transform Disconnection into Intimacy: Use guided movement, mindfulness, and partner practices to deepen intimacy, reconnect with each other’s presence, and strengthen your bond.

  • Learn Embodied Listening: Practice new ways of “listening with the whole body” to feel more seen, understood, and supported in your relationship.

Whether you are seeking to heal old wounds, renew your relationship, or simply cultivate a stronger foundation of love and trust, this workshop provides practices and insights that go beyond communication techniques—offering embodied pathways to a deeper connection.

With teachings drawn from somatic psychology, trauma-informed yoga therapy, the Polyvagal Theory, and the Phoenix Rising Method™, SoulFly Therapy blends mind-body practices with relational healing in ways that are accessible, gentle, and deeply transformative.

No prior experience in yoga or somatic practices is necessary. All couples are welcome—regardless of age, orientation, or relationship stage.

"What is this and what am I doing here? Is this a yoga class? Those were the questions I kept asking myself. You may be asking the same.
I went to Sarah’s classes despite my internal resistance because my deeper Self longed to be free- free of trauma, trapped emotion, trapped pain and trapped anger.
Sarah taught me to listen to my body and pay attention to what my body was trying to tell me. Sarah created space for me to change through movement and stillness. Her sessions are nonjudgemental. There is no expectation. It is a safe place to be present with yourself, to experience the now, to be who you really are without pretension.
IF you are searching for a deeper connection to yourself, your family, your community -Sarah’s classes will give you that.... and so much more love, space and presence in this world.
Are you up for something new? Do you deeply desire a life changing experience? Please try Sarah Classes. I did and my life is so much better for it!
