Gratitude with Grit: A Somatic Workshop for Embodying Truth, Not Just Positivity

Tired of being told to “just be grateful”? Many of us carry unacknowledged emotions beneath the surface—stress, grief, anger, or exhaustion—that can’t be bypassed by simple affirmations.

Gratitude with Grit is a trauma-informed, experiential workshop designed to help you honor your whole truth. By combining somatic practices with authentic reflection, this program invites you to embody gratitude that is real, grounded, and resilient—not forced or performative.

This interactive workshop offers support to:

  • Go Beyond Toxic Positivity: Learn how to acknowledge the full range of emotions without suppressing or bypassing them in the name of “gratitude.”

  • Regulate Your Nervous System: Explore somatic tools to find balance and ease, even when life feels chaotic or overwhelming.

  • Build Resilience Through Truth-Telling: Practice listening to your body’s signals and expressing your authentic needs in safe and grounded ways.

  • Reconnect with Your Body’s Wisdom: Discover how embodied gratitude can create space for healing, clarity, and self-trust.

  • Cultivate Sustainable Gratitude: Shift from a mindset of “should” into a lived experience of appreciation rooted in resilience and self-compassion.

These groups draw from a research-backed somatic modality practiced for over 30 years. Studies highlight how combining mindfulness, movement, and embodied self-inquiry fosters nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and authentic self-connection.

"What is this and what am I doing here? Is this a yoga class? Those were the questions I kept asking myself. You may be asking the same.
I went to Sarah’s classes despite my internal resistance because my deeper Self longed to be free- free of trauma, trapped emotion, trapped pain and trapped anger.
Sarah taught me to listen to my body and pay attention to what my body was trying to tell me. Sarah created space for me to change through movement and stillness. Her sessions are nonjudgemental. There is no expectation. It is a safe place to be present with yourself, to experience the now, to be who you really are without pretension.
IF you are searching for a deeper connection to yourself, your family, your community -Sarah’s classes will give you that.... and so much more love, space and presence in this world.
Are you up for something new? Do you deeply desire a life changing experience? Please try Sarah Classes. I did and my life is so much better for it!
